Happy New Year - Happy New Scheme

We had an inaugural meeting for London-wide LETS at the Money Club,
ULU, Gower Street, from 6.30pm on Wednesday 15th January 2008.

At the following meeting Wednesday 30th January 2008, we welcomed new
member Merle van den Bosch, a veteran of creative art therapy. The meeting on 20th February attracted a mixture of students, and veterans of monetary reform, and also new member Reflexbren, who is a therapist specialising in reflexology, and also interested in developing a LETS for a new residential community (of which more later). Brendan has the honour of having carried out the first transaction in links, a payment to attend the lecture on 16th February 2008, organised by the Forum for Stable Currencies.

Next meeting is on Wednesday 5th March - same venue - all welcome. Meanwhile, we have contacted all those who worked in the early stages to test the software on this site to update their profiles. We still need to confirm draft constitution, rules, and payment of fees. Many others who joined London-wide LETS need to be contacted to let them know about the facilities provided by this website, which will be done gradually over the next few weeks, and we hope that some will be interested enough to take part in the administration of the scheme as we gain moment.
